The weight limits are set by EU (15kgs) and US (18kgs). They are set low as they are based on seats that attach to the handlebars where it is clearly dangerous to have too much weight. Our seat doesn’t attach in this way which is why it is unique. It actually improves the balance of the bike as the patented bar puts all the baby weight in the centre of the bike. Weight is never the factor that stops a child using the seat, it is height. This normally occurs at aged 4.

Yes it will fit your bike.

It will fit in the standard way if your top tube is under 45mm wide.

If it is over 45mm wide you may need our stem adaptor to fit:

The Deluxe has a thicker padding on the seat and podium and we tend to recommend for under 18 months. Over 18 months they do not need the extra padding as they have built up their own!

The Co is steel and the Pro is aluminium. The Pro will be lighter and not rust and so will last longer…but costs more 🙂

The pivot controls the movement of the tag behind your bike so is the most important part. Our patented hitch gives a consistent movement, unlike other manufacturers.

In the EU is EN14344. Australia uses a very similar standard. And in the US they use they AS standard which isn’t as strict. There are more and more seats coming into the market that do not meet the Safety Standards as retailer’s standards slip.

Does a seat without EN14344 mean it is unsafe? No. It just means you are trusting the company and not a recognised safety panel to check the safety of a seat. As we are talking about a baby product, WeeRide believe it is better to invest the money to ensure we meet all the safety requirements.

They give you peace of mind. You know that a strict regulatory framework has checked all safety aspects of the seat to ensure quality of design and components.

It is the easiest way for a consumer to take the safety aspect of a baby seat out of the decision process so they can focus just on design and fun. Let the experts decide whether the seat is safe.

We feel it should be the first question you ask, and if they do not answer YES without any caveats, then we would walk away.

Our seats carry a 2 year warranty and all other products 1 year.
